In the second blog in our "Meet The Team" series meet Emily our lovely People Manager. Responsible for our recruitment, Emily is the person to talk to if you have any questions about any of our open roles.
You can already learn more about the team on our about us page where a short bio and picture will give you a quick peek behind the curtain to see who’s making the magic happen at RPl, but for a bigger insight into our world we’re going to be releasing fortnightly blogs on our website & social Medias centred around getting to know a different member of the Renewable Parts team in each post. We kicked off the series looking at a day in the life of our founder, and Technical Director Ewan Anderson.
How long have you been at Renewable Parts and what is your role?
I joined RPL in June this year and I am responsible for developing and delivering a Talent Acquisition Strategy that will support the ambitious growth plans of the organisation.
What is your role, and what does your average day entail?
As I only work on a part-time basis I must be super organised in terms of delivering on the Talent Acquisition priorities! An average day will typically include working with the Leadership Team to understand future talent requirements, developing our Employee Value Proposition as part of our ongoing talent and attraction strategy, hands on attraction and recruitment of new talent, onboarding of new starts and developing fit for purpose people practices. Oh, and throwing the odd ball to the various dogs who come with their owners to work!
Why did you choose to work at Renewable Parts?
I chose to work at RPL because I wanted to work in a fast-paced environment, I was excited by their ongoing growth plans and curious (and interested) to learn more about Renewables having never worked in the sector before.
What is your favourite part of the job?
Seeing all our spare desks fill up with new talent and knowing that I am working for an organisation that truly values all its people.
What 3 words would you use to describe the culture at Renewable Parts?
Fast-paced, fun, full on (but in a good way!)
When you are not working hard at Renewable Parts what are you most likely to be doing?
My true passion is travelling!! My husband and I have a bucket list of Cities we want to visit so when I am not working I am most likely to be planning the next city break or even better hopefully enjoying being on one!
With over 20 years experience in wind turbine maintenance and parts supply, we have the technical expertise to help you reduce costs whilst maximising availability levels.
